Dear Jynessa,

Last night I had a dream about Ram. Hahaha. And other Torontoish things. Maybe I’m beginning to become homesick. My predicament and my shenanigans was my zombie like behaviour- not sleeping cuz of coffee. My plane ride here was frightening because of the turbulence and we were in a little plane and there were only 5 passengers. The only plus was being able to walk up the plane like a president.  My flight back is tomorrow morning. Shall we go to the Jap film festival? Or just go to all things tea? And TALK up a storm.

Last night my cousin and I went to a poetry slam/open mic night at a cafe with an art space. OH YOU WOULD HAVE LOVED IT. There were 2 girls there that played 2 songs. They reminded me of us. The whole time the singer was standing with her legs wide open and the guitar girl a little one, was so engrossed by her guitar. This truly beautiful poet also performed last night. His name is Anis Mojgani. It was so unreal, I wanted to cry. I think we should visit here one day. I tell you, this is the place. Like if we were to open up a teashop, it would be here. This place has got me so inspired. Oh dear. I hope I come home and actually make good art.

As for the future, I thought I had it all figured out. Turns out I wasn’t even close. Although I’ve come up with a new plan that will hopefully be approved by the guidance counselor.

My ears hurt from these damn clip on earrings.

teany

What do ya know, my prayers were once again answered for a beautiful day. The forecast for today was supposed to be rainy and filled with gloom. Today the sun came out of its hiding. The clouds decided not to cry!

Last Friday I dragged my cousin and my sister out of the house, in search of a book store. After passing intersection after intersection, hearing a lot of complaining (on their part) and experiencing that weird tingly feeling as a result of our bodies trying to cool down, we reached our destination! It turned out that all that walking was in vain for I did not find any books and my companions seemed to have left with a sniffle.

Anyway,  today makes me forget that day because I found 2 great books that I am extremely eager to bury myself in if I have not already. A picture of one of them is above. There’s nothing better than a charming and informative book. This book totally covers most of my DIY needs which is superb! It even has, historical facts and music suggestions. Best of all it is almost all about TEA. OH BELOVED TEA.

The two who were the makers of the book (Moby and Kelly Tisdale) are also owners of a teashop called Teany. It is located in New York City! Bah! I want my own teashop! 😦

Moby is also a musician. Here is a link to his website.  Wait for me, his newest album just came out actually.

Enjoy!

Recently discovered this cool line of organic bath and body products called Beautea. And they apparently contain tea antioxidants that’ll make your skin nice and smooth. Not that I’m much of a moisturizer, but if my lotion’s got tea in it, why the hell not?
